SF Ballet Community Matinee

WOW! Fantastic!

First, our favorite: In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated: See You Tube excerpt below for a sample:

We also loved Petrouchka: A description and a link to the final part follows. Both girls loved every bit of it!

Composer: Igor Stravinsky
Choreographer: Michel Fokine

From the Sfballet.org web site: "Making its SF Ballet premiere this season, Michel Fokine’s Petrouchka, which was first performed by Sergei Diaghilev’s Ballet Russes in 1911, is a classical tale of a Russian puppet come to life that fuses music, ballet, and history in perfect balance."
