The Garden Grows

It grows, but, surprisingly, not as I'd expected:  the peas and the beans were all nibbled on by some creature and even bringing them up on the porch didn't seem to save them.  Two crops we have not tried before:  brussels sprouts and purple cabbage, are growing like crazy.  And the strawberries are back!  Radishes, celery, and tomatoes are doing well, as are budding flowers.  The carrots seem oddly fragile, though....  we shall see.

Not everything is pictured, but still... it's not much, but to me it is a happy scene

Hi Therese, well done on the veggies despite some being eaten. I did well on capsicums, peas and tomatoes but the beans didn't produce anything at all. Now for the winter crops down here in Oz.

Awesome! I haven't tried bell peppers, but would like to. I have a single jalapeno plant that I'm encouraging... we shall see. The basil, tomatoes, radishes, and celery look like they have hope; not so sure about the carrots though - they seem to be coming up only very slowly. Could be that it's not warm enough yet. I find it all a bit addictive and keep wanting more boxes to plant more! :-) Maybe it is because I didn't plant at all last year, thinking we were moving...
