Shakespeare

We read "A Midsummer Night's Dream" today and then K clamored for "Taming of the Shrew" again. We discussed Macbeth all morning, working (for no particular reason) to memorize a wonderfully dramatic soliloquy (they now have it just about down). I love playing with words, especially words so rich and fine, rolling the sounds and the emotions around and reveling in the fantastic power that they have to ignite emotion.

"... to the last syllable of recorded time." That phrase alone we discussed, seemingly endlessly. The sound of it. The meaning. The morbid desolate emotion. Mmmm! Better than Mexican chocolate ice cream, which itself is nirvana....
