Romeo and Juliet at the San Francisco Ballet

We got an incredible deal on tickets and couldn't pass it up. The seats were in the "nosebleed" section and - believe it or not - G surprised me at the beginning of the first section with an actual nosebleed. Her cheeks and hands (and parts of me, too) were covered with dried blood by the intermission. An adventure!

That said, it was an incredible evening. Romance and sword fighting, too - something for everyone in our group! Excerpts in the post below give a taste of it.



Below: the bigger girls were conked out by the end, but G and friend were on the edge of their seats throughout. As it ended, G leaped to her feet for a standing ovation, urging me to, "stand up, Mommy!" Indeed, it was glorious, beautiful, mesmerizing throughout, with the dancers displaying an incredible combination of athleticism, artistry, and emotion.
