Pre-Independence Day Fireworks

A friend from work turned me on to this - fireworks on the night before Independence Day and near by! The catch: it can be a zoo, with tons of people everywhere. But Charles avoided that pitfall; we joined friends for pizza, then drove up to near where they were planned to be launched. Sure enough, there were cars parked everywhere, even many blocks away. He drive close then stayed in the car while we walked just a few steps up the street for the perfect view. Afterward, our "chariot" picked us up and whisked us away before pedestrian or auto traffic had a chance to build. The fireworks were fun, of course and the girls were very excited by them. Happy almost-birthday, America!
