I've been pushing Spanish and K used to be drawn toward Mandarin, but this year they both wanted different languages: G wanted German and K is learning Italian. Aurore is learning Spanish herself, setting a great example for the girls of hard work and consistency and they check in with each other, asking, "say something in...."
Aurore had a great idea for G: write in German to a nine-year-old girl Aurore knows in Luxembourg who speaks German. G composed her letter and worked on the translation by looking things up in a translation dictionary, then Aurore worked with her to correct and explain. I love Aurore's creativity and appreciate both of them for their perseverance; doing this was a lot of work!
