Mad Hatter, Lincoln's Hat, the plastic waste in the ocean, Mr. Emmett, and a doomsayer

New Activity: Girl Scouts

Classes this semester have left the girls busy - me, too - too busy to document with photos and blog updates.  G did start a new activity, despite K's cry of sexism - the Girl Scouts.  (To be fair, G wanted something new and social to do and reached out to the other Scouts, 4H, Young Life, and something else and only the GS responded in any tangible way.)  Seems like an awesome group.  One meeting and G was ready to go away on an overnight archery camp, telling me that the girls were very energetic in a "let's tackle each other" way that G can appreciate.  Sounds like the weekend was awesome, with a trip to the Marine Mammal Center, a session/patch related to book binding and another related to archery.

Seussical

We went to see NDNU's production of Seussical and it was fantastic!  Here the girls are with one of the Wickershams, played by a faculty member who was also K's public speaking/debate teacher.  Fun!
